Water Striders - also known as Water Skeeters, Water Scooters, Water Bugs, Water Skippers, Water Skimmers, Pond Skaters, and Jesus Bugs - (family Gerridae). I've photographed them to show how beautifully they move through light and skate on the surface tension of the water, creating wave patterns and mini reflective lenses of light in the process.
