2021 has started out with a very mild winter almost Spring-like; we'll see how much following seasons are affected by climate change. After fifteen years of shooting in the creek, it's been more than five years with a scarcity of ice.
I have, however, found a new source of reflections - in small backwaters, sloughs, eddies, and puddles, where water pools quietly. The still water is a place where natural and synthetic oils accumulate and pond scum forms. They sometimes make interesting and often phantasmagoric reflections. While photographs of some of these are in this Gallery, I've made a separate Gallery just for them: Stillwater Worlds.
